British tourist drowns in Spain 'after swimming while red flag was raised'
A British tourist has died in Spain while swimming when 'the red flag was raised'. Spanish officials pulled the man from the sea, off Racó beach in Cullera, in Valencia.
The 77-year-old was said to be unresponsive when he was rescued. Paramedics rushed to the scene at about 11.30am on Tuesday morning, August 27th.
It followed reports that the man had entered the water after strong currents developed. Medics performed CPR for 30 minutes but were unable to save the holidaymaker’s life.
