3.0 magnitude earthquake is registered on the Costa del Sol this Monday morning
The 112 Andalucía emergency services control centre has reported an earthquake of 3.0 magnitude on the Richter scale in the municipality of Casares, just west of Estepona, on the Costa del Sol this morning, Monday 5th June.
According to data provided by Spain’s National Geographic Institute (IGN), it was registered at around 6.45am at a depth of just one kilometre.
112 said that its operators have received no reports of material damage or personal injury, even in the area close to the epicentre of the tremor which was at an unusually shallow depth.
