A 3-year-old boy has died from drowning in a pool in Denia
A 3-year-old boy died on Sunday, after drowning in a private pool at a villa in the Alicante town of Denia on the Costa Blanca, as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre.
After receiving an alert at around 7:30pm, a SAMU medical team were dispatched to the address given where they found the young child unconscious and not breathing.
They immediately started to try and revive him by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres, but unfortunately, they weren’t successful and were only able to certify his death.
The police guarded the body until permission was given to remove it for autopsy, and have opened an investigation to clarify the facts leading up to what appears to be a tragic accident.
