Bar goes viral throughout Spain for giving discounts for positive vibes
In a world where customer complaints in bars and restaurants and online reviews flood social media, a café in the Costa Del Sol has gone viral for positive reasons after a customer was pleasantly surprised and shared his bill online because he got a discount for being happy and smiling.
Everything seemed to proceed as usual when the man and his friends went to the Tres 14 Tapas & Café in Torremolinos, from choosing his food to requesting the bill, however, upon reviewing the bill, he noticed something unusual at the end.
He discovered that he had been given discounts for his behaviour, including for smiling, his patience, and the generosity of the people at his table.
Each discount was only a one-cent discount on the total bill which, agreed, was insignificant financially, but the gesture not only caught the customer's attention but also brought a smile to his face.
The Tres 14 Tapas & Café has become well-known locally for its focus on rewarding positive attitudes, such as the kindness and good vibes that customers bring to the establishment.
The manager, Eric Guibet, explained the reason behind this initiative: "It's not that more people come, but it's true that people come back. There are also some who want to take advantage of the discount a little bit!"
Regardless of the amount, it seems to be achieving its goal of promoting a positive and memorable experience for customers.
