Dead body found on one of the most well-known beaches in the Basque Country
The lifeless body of a man, aged approximately 40 years old, was discovered early Friday morning on La Concha Beach in San Sebastián, in the Basque Country.
According to municipal sources, a beach cleaning worker found the body in the sand at around 8:00am and immediately alerted the Local Police.
By 9:00am, the area was cordoned off, awaiting the arrival of the coroner to proceed with the body's removal for autopsy, and police have opened an investigation to establish the facts leading up to his death and subsequent discovery.
It has also been confirmed that two of the deceased friends arrived at the scene and positively identified the body.
