FERGUS Group's €20 million investment to transform Magaluf's image
In a bid to help rejuvenate the image of Magaluf as a destination, the FERGUS Group has announced a substantial investment of 20 million euros to embark on a grand remodelling project of one of the largest hotels in the Balearic Islands, BH Mallorca, turning it into three distinct establishments catering to family and premium tourism.
The BH Mallorca, known for its 1,056 apartments, is set to undergo a remarkable makeover, reimagining the destination's hospitality landscape. FERGUS Group envisions the following establishments within the revamped resort:
FERGUS Club Mallorca Waterpark: This 4-star hotel will offer 656 accommodation units and boasts an impressive array of swimming pools, including a spacious children's pool known as the "Splash Pool." Notably, it will feature the largest water park ever integrated into a hotel resort in the Balearic Islands.
Additionally, the establishment plans to include a premium area named "MAGNUS Premium" featuring its own swimming pool, restaurant, and dedicated facilities, along with enhanced in-room services.
The Calvià Beach part: Designed with the innovative "Bed and Unlimited Brunch" (B&UB) concept, this part will have 280 rooms and is strategically situated just a stone's throw away from the pristine beachfront. It will epitomize a fusion of contemporary design and coastal convenience.
The Mojito Suites: Another entrant into the B&UB concept, this will comprise of 120 accommodation units and enjoys a prime location merely 200 metres from the sun-kissed beaches. It aims to operate all year round, ensuring visitors can enjoy the Magaluf experience anytime.
FERGUS Group's visionary project signals a significant repositioning effort for the company, making a profound impact on the hospitality landscape in Calvià and beyond. Pep Cañellas, the executive president of FERGUS Group, expressed the importance of this momentous project, stating, "Today is a very important day for us and our industry in the Balearic Islands. We present a project that will be a milestone for the future development of an area in which efforts have been made for a long time." He also acknowledged the pivotal role played by the Matutes Group, the property owner, in turning this ambitious project into a reality.
Bernat Vicens, CEO of FERGUS Group, highlighted the company's commitment to growth and continuous improvement within the Calvià area, emphasizing their existing presence with ten accommodations and over 6,000 beds.
