New ‘Pirate’ Resort in Benidorm is going to be Magic!
Alicante-based hotel chain, Magic Costa Blanca, is gearing up for a substantial expansion with the purchase of a 50% stake in the massive Marina d’Or complex in Oropesa del Mar, Castellón, and the construction of a new pirate-themed resort in Benidorm.
The hotel group has formed a partnership with the Murcian Grupo Fuertes (owners of the El Pozo food brand) to execute both projects, which will lead to a 60% increase in their total accommodation capacity in just two years.
According to Magic's Vice President, Javier García, the company currently manages 11 hotels with over 2,700 rooms in Alicante and Valencia. With these new developments, they will operate 19 hotels with more than 4,300 rooms.
The acquisition of Marina d’Or alone will bring seven new assets to their portfolio: five within the complex in Oropesa and two in Vila-real, totalling 1,400 rooms.
New 'Pirate' Resort:
Furthermore, the chain is reinforcing this significant expansion with the construction of a new pirate-themed resort on the grounds of Terra Natura in Benidorm, owned by Grupo Fuertes, where they already manage the Magic Natura Animal Waterpark Resort with a Polynesian theme.
In this case, the 'pirate' complex, expected to open in the summer of 2025, will add another 200 rooms to Magic's offering.
