Six men arrested for a multiple rape of a British tourist in Magaluf
The Guardia Civil have arrested six French and Swiss tourists in Calvià (Mallorca) for raping an 18-year-old British girl in a hotel in Magaluf. The six men not only sexually assaulted her, but they also recorded it with their mobile phones, according to the local newspaper Ultima Hora.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, after the female holidaymaker met the now detainees in a club in this tourist area of Magaluf and accompanied them back to their hotel for a drink.
However, when they got there, the six men had different ideas and used one of the rooms to take in turns to rape her and film it.
The young woman eventually managed to escape from the attackers and pleaded for help on the street, where hotel staff spotted her and called the Guardia Civil.
Thanks to the descriptions given by the young tourist, the attackers were detained by agents of the Reserve and Security Group (GRS) and the Judicial Police of the Guardia Civil.
Whilst they were in custody, officers viewed the hotel's security cameras and conducted a visual inspection of the room in question. This information was passed to the judicial authorities and the men appeared before a judge yesterday afternoon (Tuesday), who sent them to prison pending further investigation.
