Swedish investors will build a hotel and restaurants on Marbella’s ‘Golden Mile’
The Marbella Town Hall has approved a modification of the General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU) that will enable the expansion of the current Boho Club tourist resort, formerly known as the Swedish Forestry Centre, and the construction of a hotel in the vicinity of Puerto Banús, in Marbella's ‘Golden Mile’.
Leading this initiative is the Swedish real estate investor Quartiers Properties, manager of the bungalow complex, who will have 20,000 square metres of new construction rights on its properties.
In a statement, the Nordic company explains that the intention of the project is to focus on the hotel sector, with new rooms and restaurants in the current Boho Club and "a totally new hotel" on the land adjacent to it.
A stone's throw from Puerto Banús, the former Swedish Forestry Centre was a first-class rest and rehabilitation centre built in the 1960s by the Swedish Forestry Agency for its officials. The complex was reinvented in 2020 as the Boho Club, a luxury boutique resort.
