TUI forecasts a record-breaking 2024 for the Balearic Islands
TUI have announced that they are anticipating that 2024 will be a record year for the Balearic Islands, as the tourism giant expects to bring over 2 million tourists to the archipelago, surpassing the current 1.9 million visitors.
High-ranking representatives of the company made this forecast after holding a meeting with their key hotel partners at the Hotel Blue Sensatori Biomar in Sa Coma, as reported by the Majorca Daily Bulletin.
Aage Duenhaupt, Head of Communications for TUI in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Poland, overseeing Airlines, Hotels, and Cruises, explained that 2023 has been a "fantastic" year, and the upward trend in the UK, Irish, German, Scandinavian, Benelux, Austrian, and Swiss markets suggest an even better year ahead.
He further emphasized the sustained high interest in better-quality holidays, including stays at more luxurious hotels and for longer durations.
In light of the expected surge in demand, the company's plans include extending the tourism season and promoting winter months with lower prices as an incentive.
