Tailbacks on the A-7 motorway in the Costa del Sol due to escaped horses!
Traffic came to a complete standstill on the A-7 motorway in Marbella yesterday afternoon (Sunday), due to two escaped horses galloping along the busy road.
The incident caused tailbacks in both directions of the Costa del Sol highway at around 1:00pm yesterday, as motorists alerted the emergency services because the horses were crossing both sides of the motorway and continuously changing direction.
The two animals, which had escaped from a nearby farm, were eventually retrieved by the Marbella Local Police at kilometre 1042. Fortunately, no people, nor the horses, were injured in the incident.
