The Generalitat wants to promote Gandía towards the ‘Champions League of tourism’
The president of the Valencian Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has taken advantage of his visit to the town of Gandía, in Valencia, to highlight a destination that receives hundreds of thousands of tourists every year, with more than 156,000 so far in 2023.
Mazón said, in statements collected by Som Gandía, that the destination “has the facilities and beaches to rival anywhere so must be in the first tier of tourism in the Valencian Community. From tourism comes culture, sports, hospitality, commerce, and the promotion of the region”.
The Valencian government has voiced its full support for all of this for the municipality to “take another step towards excellence, towards becoming a five-star resort, and in the tourism Champions League towards which Gandia inevitably has to aim for”.
