The Covid pandemic changed the way a lot of people work. The necessity of staying at home led to many continuing to work remotely and contemplating the possibilities of conducting their professional lives from the comfort of their own homes, wherever they choose those homes to be.
Remote working is enabling people to live in the country of their choice while pursuing their dream careers only needing a reliable laptop and a stable WiFi connection.
Because of this, the website Moving to Spain has comprehensively analysed the best European countries for remote workers, taking into account various factors including the quality of internet connectivity, the availability of digital nomad visas, healthcare provisions, happiness indices, and the cost of living.
Using these data a ‘remote worker score’, was calculated, which served as the basis for their report, and Spain is ranked in 4th position on the list, boasting a commendable score of 6.76 points. In first place is Norway, known for its stunning natural beauty, and the country that holds the title of the happiest in Europe.
