The sale of antigen tests has increased by 507% in the Costa Blanca
The sale of antigen tests in pharmacies, for the detection of Covid-19 in Spain, has increased by 278% in the week of August 7th to 13th compared to the end of June, as reported by the IQVIA. Numbers have skyrocketed in the Valencian Community to 507%, ranking as the third highest region where the sale of these tests has grown the most, only behind Cantabria and Navarra.
Sales in Cantabria have gone up by 908% with 8,259 tests being sold that week, and by 531% in Navarra where 3,759 units were sold. After Valencia (50,155 units) was La Rioja with 2,436 sales (+486%), the Balearic Islands with 12,135 (+477%), Castilla y León with 14,560 (+412%) and Castilla-La Mancha with 7,370 units (+378%).
Finally, the regions where the sale of antigen tests has increased the least during week 32 of the year are: Murcia with 4,854 sales (+168%), followed by Madrid with 20,671 (+124%) and the Canary Islands with 9,136 units (+47%).
